Why Archaic Ruins Sucks (The Saga Continues) X-POP3-Rcpt: typhoonz@aitsu Return-Path: bastien@iconn.net X-Sender: bastien@mailhost.iconn.net (Unverified) Date: Fri, 21 Mar 1997 21:45:04 -0500 To: Chris Hickman aka Typhoon Z From: The Sheik Subject: Re: A few questions >>>Since you seem so convinced that your page has every emulator in >>>exsistence, as stated in "I will also NOT answer email about >>>Intellivision, or other emulators... if they existed, they'd be on >>>here" I am wondering where you are hiding the PC98, PC8001, various >>You changed the quote. I've never used or seen MAKEiNES (Perhaps CC had an inferior distribution?), and Y0SHi hasn't been working on qNES for too long... VeNES, yes, but VeNES was disfunctional between both authors =)... we hear from Y0SHi, which is the difference. Because of my post on Archaic Ruins, Tandrum came into #Emu, said that he HAS NOT been working on it, and said that from now forward, he has time to work on it and will be doing so. >>Haruki "joined" CC, he told me that he was just added because he was a >>#Emu frequenter on Fefnet. >Not quite, we asked him to join, and he agreed. DC is not a warez group, its an organization of >>independants... if you ever collected comics, compare to to Image and >I never collected American Comics, sorry... If it is an orginazation of >independants, what is the point in considering yourselves a group? Thats why I put the analogy about PCs afterwards since I realized you probably wouldn't. We ARE a group of independants, and the reason we are a group is for publicity. Our web pages are what our group mainly consists of. Its a network of people doing their own thing (within reason) under a common label. >>Insulting in a letter is very mature eh? >As opposed to what, insulting on a web page?.. Or tossing comments into >letters/logs/interviews that the parties involved can't respond to? You are responding to an email right now that is going up on my site =) Anything that is sent via email that is requested to be put up (with the exception of sexually explicit jpegs and front ends) usually gets put up. >>I sincerely hope that you email Sean Whalen at Node 99 and tell him how >>he is thinking he runs the emulation scene since he also gives an equal >>effort. I'm doing the >>best that one person can do. This is the first email I've received >>complaining, and I find it without any grounds whatsoever. I have >>email so that the site can change and suit the users needs. I changed >>the format so that I could let users go to the actual homepages of the >>respective emulators so that they could see what the author himself >>intends them to as well as my site. >He must truly be amazing, because, personal feelings notwithstanding, I >find his page to be updated faster and cover a wider variety of >emulators and this must be quite difficult to do when as you say, he >has a disadvantage. He also doesn't write articles blasting people or Well, his disadvantage is an advantage too however. I painstakingly update this site (files included) at 14.4... Sean Whalen hasn't the space to upload, so it is easier for him to update his site (since he just adds links), but either way... >emulators for personal vindication. This is probobly your disadvantage, >since wasting so much time and space must 'cripple' you mightily. I don't write articles blasting others. I feel that I'm neither wasting time nor space in what I do. I can see that a lot of this spawned from my Obsolete Page... and I have talked to Tandrum on IRC who was quite happy to correct me... Console Consortium no longer has a place in the emulation scene I will state again. They are dead. Tandrum even declared them as being dead. Tandrum and Letoram are forming their own group, but Console Consortium is dead. Thats a fact, not trivia to blast others. Tandrum is on good terms with me (in fact, I may join his group which is PC Coding oriented), CC is dead, and this letter is unfounded.
