The cave boy with the head of stone is back in this new chapter of his
amazing adventures! Join Bonk as he travels through Dinosaur Land in
search of the beautiful Moon Princess.

But it looks like Bonk's old enemy King
Drool is ready to take over. He's captured
the Princess and demands to rule Dinosaur
Land. Now Bonk has to use his head
(literally) to knock King Drool's fools off the    {picture}
map and bring peace back to the realm.

CONTROLLER FUNCTIONS

Control Pad:   Moves Bonk up, down, left and right.
               Up lets Bonk enter the Boss Stage elevator.

A Button:      Makes Bonk Jump.
               Bite walls for vertical climb.

B Button:      "Bonk" with head (attack).
               Do a midair spin.

Start Button:  Pauses the game.
               Start "new" Bonk life.

TECHNIQUES

Midair Spin: Jump and rapidly press the B Button. This slows Bonk's rate of
descent and increases his jumping distance. This also makes the power of
your "Bonk" (headbutt) twice as strong.

Wall Bite: This is to scale walls that are too high to jump. Jump against
the surface and Bonk automatically bites the wall. Press the A Button
to begin climbing.

Waterfalls and Tree Climbing: Use the wall
climbing technique to swim up waterfalls
and scale trees.

The Grand Bonk: When Bonk eats a hunk
of meat he is temporarily super charged.
By doing a mid air spin and landing on his              {picture}
head he sends a pile-driver shock wave
across the screen to damage all enemies.

POWER-UP ITEMS
Hearts:          The life gauge increases by one heart.
Smiling Faces:   Collect these to increase heart points at
                 the end of each level.

Fruit:           The life gauge increases by 1/4 heart.
Big Hearts:      The life gauge increases by three hearts.
Small Meat:      Gain a Power-up.
Big Meat:        {picture}  Gain a Power-up twice as
                            big as the small meat.
1 Up: Gain an extra life.

FLOWER POWER

The Bani-Bana flowers are located all across Dinosaur Land. They provide
Bonk a variety of different items and bounce effects. These are:

Jumping Bani-Bana: These give Bonk the opportunity to jump higher than
he can by his own strength. Use these flowers to grab items that are out
of his reach.

Heart Bani-Bana: These give Bonk extra
hearts for the Heart Meter. They restore
lost energy points.

Meat Bani-Bana: These give Bonk the small
and large pieces of meat to transform him
into a more powerful Bonk!

GAME PLAN


Make your way through all the levels of Dinosaur Land to take on King Drool in
a head banging finale! Look for small flowers to transport you to special 
Bonus Zones. The action in the main game is temporarily halted as you try 
your luck in these rounds. Increase your score and your skills in tests of 
jump/spinning, swimming and climbing.

Use these skills to bonk your way across multiple levels of challenges awaiting
you in the different areas. Gigantic flower beds, waterfalls, and whirlpools
await Bonk as he searches for the Moon Princess.

Look for the secret passages to the Boss Rounds!
There you will encounter huge bad guys that will take
extra talent and determination to defeat. Beat them              {picture}
to gain access to the next level and earn the heart
points from the Smiling Faces that you collected.
