THE JOYPAD L/R: Finetune the directions before all strokes. Steerbutton: Is used to move the cursor in the menu, Name & Command Screen. During the game you push to aim shoots adjust position to select clubs. Selectbutton: Shows the statistics under tournament game. Startbutton: Push to begin and see Hi-Scores. X/Y: Is used to cancel choices, or to pass menus. A/B: Confirms the menu choices. Push the A-Button to swing and strike. Page: 2 -------------------------------------------------------------------- THE CHOICE OF GAME Push the Startbutton to see the Game Options screen. Choose by moving the cursor with help of the Steerbutton and confirm the choice with the A- or B-button. STROKE PLAY - One to four players. Best result after the 18 holes wins. MATCH PLAY - Two players compete against eachother by every hole, the one that finished most holes wins. TOURNAMENT - One to four players plays against 60 computer-controlled players 18 holes. VS HAL - Compete with the Pro-player Hal. If you win you'll receive a password that ables you to use the same kinda metal-clubs he uses. When you've got the password you can use the clubs in every game. PRACTICE - Push the Startbutton to enter a screen were you choose hole, windspeed and direction. Choose EXIT to return to the Titlescreen. Push the Selectbutton to try the same hole again. MEMORY PLAY (Replay) - If you do a Hole-in-One, an Eagle or Albatros you'll get a password. Type it in Memory Mode and watch the stroke in replay! Page: 3 -------------------------------------------------------------------- NUMBER OF PLAYERS Choose 1 to 4 playes. Players 1 and 3 can use Joypad 1 and players 2 and 4 Joypad 2. All four can also use the same joypad. NAMESCREEN Type your name and password for the metal-clubs. Confirm the choices with the A-Button. THE CHOICE OF LEVEL You can choose between three different levels Amateur, Single and Professional. Amateur is the esiest And Professional most difficult. HANDICAP In strokegames for several competitiors the players can be given handicap between 1 and 36 strokes. Page: 4 -------------------------------------------------------------------- THE CHOICE OF CLUBS You have 5 woodclubs, nine ironclubs, one pitching wedge, one sandwedge and one putter. You can have a max of 14 clubs on the track and must thereby you must select the ones you like best and leave the others. The fourteen clubs that is marked with white text is the standard choice. If you want other clubs you must erase a club with the X- or Y-button (the letters turn grey) and choose the club you want instead. If you want you can, but it's not recommended play without the pitching or sand wedge, but the game will not start if you try to leave the putter at home. Read more about how to used these commands following. You move the cursor as usual with the Steerbutton, confirm you choices with the A- or B-Button and cancels a choice with the X- or y-Button. Page: 6 -------------------------------------------------------------------- IT WORKS LIKE THIS Choose direction - When you've choosen "SHOT" a cursor is shown. Move the cursor with the Steerbuttons and do small tuning with the L- and R-Buttons. Placing the ball - when you've choosen stroke direction and confirmed with the A-button you can check how the ball lies. Push the A-button to continue. Club Selection - Far down to the right you see the clubs and their distance. glance through the list with the Steerbutton and confirm your choice with the A-button. Choose bodyposition - When you've choosen club a picture of how you stand is shown. Push Left/Right on the Steerbutton to move the feet. Confirm that you're pleased with the A-button. Swing - You must practice some to get good, but when you've found out the trick you'll see that you can strike with great precision. You must push 3 times on the A/Button to strike. The first push start the backswing. You'll get maximum power and you let the club go all the way in the reds field before you stop it by pushing the A-button. After that you must do the hit in right time, push the A-button a third time when the clubs hits the ball. Putting - Aim the putter with the Steerbutton and fine tune with the L- and R-buttons. To put you push twice on the A-button For a really small put you only push once. Look at green - choose "GREEN" in the commandwindow anytime to take a look at green. Page: 7 -------------------------------------------------------------------- STRIKE LIKE A PRO Hook - To spin the ball to the left is called "draw", a hard leftspin is called "hook". Move the rightfoot backwards to spin the ball to the left. Slice - To spin the ball to the right is called "fade", a hard spin to the right is called "slice". Move the leftfoot backwards to spin the ball to the right. Topspin - You can strike a topspin to compensate the wind and make the ball roll further away when it lands. Push up on the steerbutton when you strike. Underspin - With an underspin the ball rolls back when it lands. Push down on the Steerbutton when you strike. Page: 8 -------------------------------------------------------------------- REPLAY If you manage to make a Hole-in-One, an Eagle or a albatross you'll get a password that makes you able to see the stroke in replay if you choose "Memory Shot". POINTS You can push the Startbutton anytime under the game to see the leaderboard. You'll see the number of strokes and number of puts of every hole. Golf Terms Bogey - 1 stroke over par Double Bogey - 2 strokes over par Triple Bogey - 3 strokes over par Par - Equal to the whole number of strokes each hole. Birdie - 1 stroke under par Eagle - 2 strokes under par Albatross - 3 strokes under par Page: 9 -------------------------------------------------------------------- EXAMINE THE AREA AROUND THE FLAG Choose "HOLE" on the commandscreen to take a closer look on the area around the hole. Replay - Shows your stroke in replay in 3-D. Slope - Shows the terrain looks in detail for the actual hole and makes it possible for you to plan the stroke. Every square is 10 X 10 square yards. Zoom - Enlarges desired area of the track. Choose "ZOOM" to mark a part of the field. Move the cursor to the place you want to examine closed and push the A-button to see the area in 2 times enlargment. After that you can choose "SLOPE" and see the grid placed over the examined area. Cut/Zoom/Slope - When you've chosen "CUT" for the desired area you can choose "ZOOM" and "SLOPE" to see the terrain in detail. Cut - Makes it possible to the see the area around the hole in detail. Choose "CUT" and tune the cursor by pushing Left/Right on the Steerbutton and confirm with the A-Button to see a crosssection of the terrain. Move the cursor left/right to the point you want to cut. Do not use any power plug other than the AC adapter provided with your Super NES. The AC adapter may become warm during use; this is normal and is no cause for concern. 2. Do not use any RF switch other than the one included with your Super NES. 3. Do not disassemble or try to repair the Super NES components. Doing so voids your warranty. 4. Always turn the power switch of the Control Deck off before loading or removing a Game Pak. Insert the Game Pak completely without forcing either the Game Pak or the Control Deck. Load ONLY PAL VERSION Super NES Game Paks into the PAL VERSION Super NES Control Deck. To remove a Game Pak, push the eject button and carefully remove the game. A Game Pak cannot be removed if the power switch is in the on position. 5. After you have finished playing, be sure to remove the Game Pak from the Control Deck. 6. Do not store the Control Deck in a humid place, on the floor or in any location where it may collect dirt, dust, lint etc. 7. Do not drop, hit or otherwise abuse the Super NES components. 8. Do not leave the Control Deck turned on for extended periods when not in use. 9. When disconnecting any plugs from the Control Deck first turn the Control Deck off, then carefully pull by the plug itself rather than by the cord. Do not step on, sharply pull or bend any wires or cables. 10.Do not expose the Control Deck, Game Paks or any other of the Super NES components to extreme heat or cold. 11.Do not spill liquids on the Control Deck, Game Paks or any other of the Super NES components. To clean, use a soft slightly damp cloth. Allow the component to dry completely before using again. (Use water only). 12.Do not rapidly turn the power switch on and off, as this may cause battery backed-up Game Paks to lose your stored game information. - Game Pak Precautions/Maintenance 1. If you are playing for a long time, take a 10 to 15 minute break every hour. 2. The Game Pak is high precision piece of electronics. Do not store it in places that are very hot or cold. Do not hit, drop or otherwise abuse it. Do not take it apart. 3. Avoid touching the connectors with your fingers. Do not blow on them or allow them to get wet or dirty. Doing so may damage the Game Pak and/or the Control Deck. 4. Do not clean with benzene, paint thinner, alcohol or any other solvent. 5. Always store Game Pak in its protective cover when not in use. 6. Always check the Game Pak edge connector for foreign material before inserting the Game Pak in the Control Deck.
