The New Look of Archaic Ruins Compiled by Typhoon Z I'd like to thank everyone for participating in my 1st open topic email thingy (grin)... I'm going to work on the site as much as I can, and hope that I can make Archaic Ruins pleasing to most people. --- X-POP3-Rcpt: typhoonz@aitsu Return-Path: camzac@telcomplus.com Date: Thu, 20 Mar 1997 23:54:36 -0800 From: Cam Reply-To: camzac@telcomplus.com Organization: None To: typhoonz@parodius.com Subject: color scheme I like the new color scheme, however, it is lacking color. My suggestion is colored text. -cam (aka _foo) --- X-POP3-Rcpt: typhoonz@aitsu Return-Path: omar@2nd-world.fr X-Sender: omar@mail.2nd-world.fr Date: Fri, 21 Mar 1997 16:37:25 +0100 To: typhoonz@parodius.com From: Omar Cornut Subject: archaic ruins colors Just a little word, to say I prefer the colored version of the ruins.. --- X-POP3-Rcpt: typhoonz@aitsu Return-Path: drake@i-cafe.net Date: Wed, 19 Mar 1997 19:56:23 -0800 From: Gloomy Reply-To: drake@i-cafe.net To: typhoonz@parodius.com Subject: color scheme DEFINATELY an improvement :> Gloomy --- X-POP3-Rcpt: typhoonz@aitsu Return-Path: ajberken@students.wisc.edu Date: Wed, 19 Mar 1997 23:28:52 -0600 From: Aaron Berken To: typhoonz@parodius.com Subject: new color scheme TyphoonZ, What the heck's going on here? Did my monitor go b&w? I think the new scheme is a bit of a step backwards, and looks less professional than with the old background and such. The text is a bit harder to read, though I like the background. Maybe you could darken the text, or change it's color somewhat. The texture is cool though, and definitely goes better with the new headings. Also, I am starting up a new site called SNES Emulation Hub (I think), It will be a site which covers mainly SNES emulation, docs, and ROMs. I was wondering If I could have your permission to put a link to AR in my site? Also, I would like to be able to use your updates as a resource for news etc. What are your feelings on this?? Please let me know. Thank you and keep up the good work. The new one looks to dead/dull in my opinion :) --- X-POP3-Rcpt: typhoonz@aitsu Return-Path: michitsc@acm.cps.msu.edu Date: Thu, 20 Mar 1997 15:27:41 -0500 From: Dan Michitsch To: typhoonz@parodius.com Subject: color scheme What color? I kinda liked the old one a bit more than this because is grey is making me wonder if I went colorblind. Just my opinion. Hey, I love you site! I check the What's New about every day. There's a lot of exciting things going on in the emulation scene. I'm going to get a faster computer just so I can run the ems better! :) Best of Luck! -=Dan=- --- X-POP3-Rcpt: typhoonz@aitsu Return-Path: plumage@hooked.net Date: Thu, 20 Mar 1997 12:47:46 -0800 From: Daydream Reply-To: plumage@hooked.net To: typhoonz@parodius.com Subject: new color scheme Hey Tz!- I dunno. I always had a problem with either color schem because the red headers you used were hard to read against the backgrounds. I like the new Archaic Ruins logo much better though. Personally, I like the old background. I think a midnight blue would be cool as well. The thing with the new background also is you can easily see each square of tile, when the old was more "flowing" which is definitely cooler, IMHO. So, for what it's worth.... -- Randy ---
