A non-public beta should be out sometime in July with a public release hopefully in August." - Emu News

    • Nes World vs. ClassicGaming - "Many of you may have been to Acey's NesWorld website. Some of you may also have visited Classicgaming. Unfortunately, it appears that 3 events have occured.
Exhibit A: Classicgaming asks Acey to join them.
      Exhibit B: Acey says no.
Exhibit C: Classicgaming registers nesworld.com as revenge and points it to Classicgaming's website.
Read more about it at NesWorld. And please, boycott Classicgaming. Also, tell Y0SHi to eat his damned oatmeal!@! - Zophar, Zophar's Domain

    • Gekko discontinued - "According to a small post on ROMLIST, John Köhler aka DRAC has stated that Gekko, the Neo-Geo emulator that was never released beyond a teaser, is officially cancelled for good. While there's still NeoRage, of course, losing any emulator is a sad thing, especially when it's one of the originals." - InVerse, Zophar's Domain

    • Emulators and Simulators, Translation Patches and Tables, and Emulation Utilities sections are being reworked. They will slowly be popping up, as we update our archives (they are a month out of date). You can still use the FTP for browsing sections that aren't up. Also, the Simplenet site is down, so please change your bookmarks. Any help is welcomed.

    • Snes9X release date set... again - "As you all probably noticed another delay, hopefully the last, there were some problems with the GUI of the DOS version, but there will be a new dos version before monday, either with or without GUI and that's a promise ! The source will also be released within two weeks from now (11-06-1998). The windows version isn't ready yet, I haven't been swimming in the free time, so I just haven't had time to work on it." - Jerremy Koot
  • Note from Mß
    • The Simplenet server should be going down today. I will have to work extra hard to get the HTML files up on TeleFragged. I have put stars besides the sections that are currently up and functional.

98.06.08 TONS of stuff!
  • Note from TRP
    • Transfer has been completed. Enjoy. I'm VERY SORRY about the delay. I've had hella problems with my ISP. If anything messed up, or I did, or otherwise got corrupted, I still have it all on my HD here. Just let me know if they're any problems.
  • Note from Mß
    • HTML will take longer. I have driving classes all week, so I do not have much time to fix the pages. So, for now browse the FTP if the page you want is not up. The directories do need to be re-arranged a bit, but they should be fairly easy to navigate. The Simplenet site will be going down very shortly. Please change your bookmarks to this site. Also, I set up e-mail forwarding, so if you mail to patpend@telefragged.com, your mail will be received by all of us.

98.06.07 X-MAME v0.33.b4 released!
  • Emulation News
    • PCNES discontinued - "PCNES, as of today, is discontinued. I simply don't have the time to adequately maintain two emulators. There is an abundance of quality NES emulators available, so I would like to focus my efforts on my GB emulator. I would like to thank all those that have helped on my NES emulator, I truly appreciate it." - Jim Geffre

98.06.06 Sonic 4 released!
  • Note from Mß
    • Files are being transferred at a steady rate now. I'm working on many of the HTML pages to get them working on the new server. Once all files are transferred, even if the HTML is not done, the old server will go down. I will transfer all old HTML to the new server and replace them with new HTML as I get them done. This is so you will not get "File Not Found" errors for the HTML, however the file links may be wrong. After this is completed, many new things will be added, and some possible even during the process. New layout is a great possibility, or at least graphics (hint, hint).

    • Duddie leaves - "Hello ppl, Here directly from me, to not allow other ppl talk about it: Due to my new contract (that is strictly confidential) I cannot code PSEmu any longer. But do not be afraid, PSEmu Pro is coded by Tratax with little help from me, so there will be Windows version that many of You expect so nervously. So... any questions, regarding PSEmu should be directly posted to Tratax. Do not bother me with mails like: 'Oh G, do not do that!!' or something like that. However my mbox will be removed today! :)" - Duddie
