Archaic Ruins moves back
Two days ago, on Archaic Ruins, Chris made this comment: "There is one more major change coming this week to
Archaic Ruins that will take us back to 1996 to a very very special place :)" That place?
Parodius.com! I am glad to see them move back to their old
host, especially since they had previously been on SimpleNet, and you know what happened to the last few
emulation sites that were hosted there.. ;( Anyway, There is an interesting message posted on the
previous host, bpwl, which you might find amusing,
especially if you've seen Enemy of the State. Anyway, they have updated everything, in Chris's
goal to become the "Tucow's of Emulation." So go visit them now! | |

nEMU out again
Well, nIRV has temporarily halted nEMU again, the page says, "nEMU will be back later with a new concept
that will probably safe it from death or completly kill it :)... " So we'll have to wait and see what
becomes of it. | |

I think MainDomain screwed up some other
setting.. you may have noticed this when browsing the HTTP File Index. I have added
my own icons for the files now. Enjoy. I also should release a 100% translation to WinGroove v0.A2 sometime
soon... | |

After several people's broken promises,
WE FINALLY HAVE A FILE MAINTAINER! Heh. BadKarma is now maintaining our files. He's adding all new
releases everyday, and all missed releases as he can. He's on a LAN, so his transfers are fast. So now,
though the indices may now all be up to date, at least you'll always be able to find the latest files in the
HTTP File Index. I'm sorry for the lack of updates, but I started work on another game
site, and kind of strayed from PP for a few weeks. I had hoped to have the site opened already, but it's
not. I think you'll enjoy it once it's opened. I am not saying what it is about yet, but you may be able
to figure it out from it's name: PopStar. I haven't done the file indices yet, because several people had
already said they'd work on them-- though I have yet to see anything new. I'd like to implement an indexing
script if anybody has a good one... send it. That's all for
now. | |

Parodius Networking returns!!!!
Wow! After nearly three years of down-time. Parodius Networking is back-- on parodius.com They have
stared their hosting, with the addition of Neo
Demiforce. If any of you remember, after parodius went down, a lot of emulation went to pot for a while.
Hopefully they will expand as they once did, unfortunately it seems as if they had a disk crash and lost all
of their old files. I haven't visited NDF in a while, but it looks as if they've had a redesign,
too. | |

Well, I am not sure what MainDomain was
doing, but our HTTP was out yesterday. It is back now, but unfortunately, our CGI and SSI is still not
functioning. We hope this will be fixed ASAP.
Update: SSI now works, but not CGI. I was planning on implementing some new scripts to do the news page
too... | |

Nintendo in Meka?
I know Zoop said that he didn't emulate the NES in Meka, but it seems very odd that he has added more
checksum entries for the variations Super Mario Bros. in the MEKA.NAM file.. And in the Technical window
it says Emulation Mode: Nintendo when you load the SMB ROMs. lilac had said before that a 6502 CPU core
was in there, so maybe eventually there will be NES support.. it doesn't appear to function now..
